IPod Mini won’t turn on, respond or charge, resetting didn’t work, what else can I try?
I have a 6gb ipod mini, it’s about 2 or 3 years old and was a refurbished replacement for my first mini after it quit working after about a year. I used my ipod about a week ago and it was fine. I turned it off, as normal, and had nearly a full battery charge. This morning it wouldn’t turn on, no low battery warning, nothing (no, the hold button isn’t on). So I thought maybe the battery was lower then I thought so I plugged it into my computer. Nothing. My computer doesn’t respond, my ipod doesn’t respond. At first I thought it was the cord or the USB port, but by boyfriend’s ipod nano works fine with the cord and USB port.
I tried resetting it and it still didn’t respond. Any other ideas? I hate to take it to the Apple store, I bought the extended warranty, but I think even that is expired at this point. Should I just scrap it and buy a new MP3 player?
