Recently my usb cord broke?
I have a sony walman nwz mp3 player 8 gb and the usb is broken (accident). I looked on the Sony Website and to get a new usb cable its like 25.50! No other USB in the stores fit my sony. I was wondering if I could somehow charge and transfer my music w/o use of an usb cable. Or if you know any cheap cables that work?
Your idea just isn’t going to happen. You’ll need a USB cable to manage your media, there’s no other way. Because you went with a brand that has something of a name for themselves (Walkman, iPod, Sansa, etc) you’re stuck with the necessity of having their own unique cable instead of some basic USB mini port. Unless you have mad hacking skillz, you’ll have to bite your tongue this once and pay the $25 for a new one.

Check on Ebay or at local pawn shops. You may be able to find one cheaper than the manufacturer’s price
