How do i transfer a copyrighted song onto my Sony MP3 Player?
I downloaded iTunes and bought the song from there and couldnt transfer the song because it is a different format. I then purchased the same song again from oxfam’s website and tried to transfer to my Sony HD player but it says its copy protected!! So I have now purchased one song twice and cant move it from my pc unless I burn it to CD. Can anyone help me get round this? I dont want to do anything illegal but surely if I have paid for a song twice I should be able to choose which type of player I listen to it on without having to buy a bloomin iPod!! Many thanks in advance.
There are a couple of options open to you:
a) Acquire by whatever means, a copy of a program such as dbPowerAMP and convert the track you downloaded from iTunes into a different format e.g. MP3.
Probably means more expenditure however, unless you acquire the program illegally. Which brings me on to the second point -
b) Download a copy of LimewireSoulseek etc and copy the file from someone on the Internet. Admittedly this would at first appear illegal, however as you already have paid for TWO copies of the track, no one could really accuse you of stealing.
That’s probably the quickest way!
