Please HELP!!!! need your opinionssss?
i received two headphones for christmas this year, so i need help deciding which one to keep. i have the skullcandy lowrider with 40mm driver whatever that means–it’s red and i looks really cute. i also havre the sony mdr-nc7? they are noise canceling headphones that won the best noise canceling headphones award from the business traveler magazine. it doesn’t specify whether or not they are compatible with an ipod or any mp3 player. however, it says it can connect to a stereo. the whole point of getting headphones is for my ipod. they also need batteries which i’m not psyched about having to deal with batteries since i haven’t even bothered getting new batteries for my tv controller for over a year now.
All headphones are compatible with mp3 players/ipods. It is the standard audio jack.
The Sony is an On-Ear type of headphone which will bother you after a long period of use. Most reviews on amazon claim that the Sony has low sound quality. You can’t really do much with on-ear either, in my opinion, because it would slide off. When a headphone has batteries it means that it needs more juice to power a better quality sound. You could always buy rechargeable batteries to solve that problem.
The Skullcandy has better bass and is Over-Ear type with makes it noise-isolating already. I’m not sure if its more durable but they have a limited waranty. I have a friend that loves their skull-candy but has to keep buying new ones cause they wear out easily. the 40mm driver refers to the amount of power it pumps out.
Portability wise they are both similar.
