Can you put a sony nw a1200 mp3 in to a ipod speaker dock?
I want to buy a speaker docking station for my Sony 8GB NW-A1200 mp3 player, I know there is the one from sony the SRS-NWM10 but I can get more for my money buying one that is made for IPOD and also that does not come with a remote, on my current stereo i can use the dual phono, 3.5mm line cable (in av mode) but the sound is minimal (when I use the stereo normally I have loud sound). so does anyone know if there is anything the mp3 player will work on except the SRS-NWM10 and without going through the headphone socket? and are the connections on the bottom of the ipod the same as the bottom of the sony mp3? Much appreciated

if it says ipod compatible, then only for ipod
but it says mp3 compatible, all mp3 are good
make sure it has a connect to connect on you headphone jack
thats one of the clues to see if its for mp3
if you only see the ipod dock, then too bad
