WMA vs MP3 files – which is better for listening?
I just bought my first mp3 player, Sony Walkman 4gb. I want to fill it with much of my cd music collection but before I start ripping disks, which has better sound quality: WMA or MP3 format? I’m torm between number of songs and quality of songs for my player.

WMA has FAR better sound quality, though the files are much larger. Personally, I think Mp3′s are overrated. Just fit whatever WMA’s you can, and when you want more you can delete those you don’t like. I’d much rather go with quality over quantity.
The average song in standard wma format is 30-40mb, whereas the mp3 will be about 4-5mb. Part of this is due to compression, but the majority is because the song is condensed, highs and lows are removed… People need to learn a bit more before they start calling people liars.
