Should I buy Best Buys’ Protection Plan for my Sony E-Series Walkman Mp3 Player?
I just recently bought a sony e-series walkman mp3 player, and I was just wondering if i should purchase the best buy geek squad protection plan for it. The main reason I am interested in the plan is for the battery replacement in case my battery goes out, since sony states that the battery will last about 500 charges and I plan on using this player for a long time. Is a 2-year plan worth it?

The player cost $79.99, and I believe the plan would cost around 20-30 dollars depending on whether i get the standard or advanced which covers accidental handling damage

I think you would be wasting your money. I think things will have moved on so much in two years time that you would be in the least interested in this music player. I have a Sony A series which now seems old hat to what’s in the shops now. I’d save your money and use it towards a replacement if and when anything goes wrong with it – you can purchase whatever you like at the time. Usually additional warranties are a waste of money. And 500 charges is a lot as the battery life is good anyway.
