Tungsten E2 Problem with SD Cards?
I have a Tungsten E2, I have tried a Scandisk SD 2GB card and a Lexar SD 512MB Card (card from a digital camera) and it still does not read the SD cards, please help.
When you insert the SD card does the E2 “announce” / make the “Palm Sound” when the card is inserted? If not the contacts may be dirty, so clean contacts on the SD card with an eraser on the end of the pencil and then insert.
Hopefully, you will hear the “confirmation” sound when pushing in the SD card.
Go to “Applications” select “Card Info” program. It will open and show the type and size of the card. Go to the “Menu” icon and tap. Select “Format Card”. This will erase all information on the SD card so make sure you have transferred the information to another storage media.
After formating, your E2 should see the card and be able to read and write information.
Google and download “FileZ” free utility software. You should be able to view and manipulate files / information stored on your SD card.
