Sansa C240?
Everytime i turn on my mp3 player it says load main image failed switch to recovery please connect usb. i connect the usb and nothing happens. it started when i updated the firmware on it and i’ve tried to update it again but it says no new firmware is avilable. also when it is plugged in a 16mb disk comes up and just shows a version file.
TO Switch the palyer to recovery mode
1) Double click on My Computer so that you can see it on your screen.
2) Turn the player off.( holding it for 20 sec)
3) On the side of the player is a Hold switch, move it to the right so you see Orange.
4) On the left hand side of the player is a Record button, press and hold it while connecting the player to the computer. Continue holding the Record button until you see a new icon under My Computer called 16MB FORMAT. Once you see that icon you may release the Record button.
then update the Firmware of your Sansa Mp3 Player let’s try to do this steps
1.Type in this link on your Internet Browser http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1368 press Enter
2. Double Click Download Sansa Firmware Updater
3. Click on Save, Save the File on your Desktop
4. After you have Downloaded the File Click On Run
5. You will be Prompted on the Installshield Wizard for the Sansa updater, Click on Next
6. Unplug any Sansa Mp3 Player, Accept the License Agreement and click on Next.
7. Choose Destination Location window, click next and click on Install
8. Installshield Wizard Complete connect the device by Pressing and Holding the Record Button while connecting the Player to the computer.
9. Click on Finish
10. On your Task bar or where the date and time located you will see Icon for Sansa Firmware Updater.
11. Right click on that and choose Check for Updates now.
