Should I choose choose the nano iPod 8gb or the sandisk e280 8gb?
I have a e280 sansa. Appararently, I can sell it and get an 8gb nano ipod instead. Should I do it?
Pros (nano):
-Cheaper accesories. For example, the case, the replacement battery, and more selections. Only reason why the accesories are cheaper for ipod is because a lot of companies are putting out generic brands due to the ipod’s popularity.
-I never heard of the ipod locking up.
-It may look cooler when I walk around with it.
-It’s an ipod.
Cons:
-No FM radio.
-No voice recording.
-No expandable memory.
-Can’t watch video.
Pros (e270):
-FM radio. But why would I need one if I use my mp3 for music.
-Voice recording. Nice feature, but not necessary.
-Expandable memory. I can make my 8gig into a 12 gig or somthing like that.
-I can watch videos.
-Has a very unique design. Very similar to the nano.
-It’s a sandisk.
Cons:
-Appararently some people say the e270 up at times, not sure if
I’d go for iPod nano 8GB.
-No FM radio -> Apple mp3 players such as iPod nano dont have FM tuners but there is iTrip FM tuner for iPods (sold separatelly).
-No voice recording -> This is true, but if you install linux on your iPod you can use your left earbud as a microphone and thus recording voice memos.
-No expandable memory -> iPod nano series are flash-based. No flash-based players that can be upfraded. Only those who use memory cards as a storage device.
-Can’t watch video -> Apple made this so they could sell iPod video series which is capable of playing movies and the games on it. Even if you could watching movies n your iPod nano, the screen would just be too small whatsoever.
iPod nano has an excellent sound quality,vert bright display capable of displaying photos and the album artworks. It also has gapless playback and search options. If you install iPod Linux on it you can get many more advanced features such as voice recording, installing software on your ipod and support for more music formats including WMA and OGG.
