There are many different reasons why people require an MP3 player. However, no matter what the reason is, there is one common thread between all – and that is the need to take your music and digital entertainment files with you no matter where you go. Whether you are on an airplane or driving driving a car.
What makes this Samsung 2GB MP3 player so amazing is the sophistaction the product carries. This extremely stylish MP3 player allows you to listen to your favorite songs, while viewing photographs that make your smile. The design of this portable music player allows you to easily fit it inside of your pocket, it’s only 1.8″ thin and weight only 1.8 ounces.
However, it is the wide variety of media files that it can play that really sets this music player apart. This Samsung MP3 player can support MP3 files as well as WMA and WMA-DRM10 file formats. Of course, it can also accurately display JPEG files.
One of the other features that makes this MP3 player so unique is the built-in FM tuner, which will scan all the FM range and then automatically programs the available FM stations into your presets. This is great if you are simply tired of the music you have downloaded onto your device, now you can listen to your favorite songs on and off of the radio.
You can charge it with anything that has a USB plug in…I plug mine in to my son’s xbox 360 when we are watching movies or when he is just playing…that way I dont have to charge it with the pc only.
The big news this time around is Samsung has thrown in the haptic feedback technology it loves so much (and I really dislike) in its touchscreen phones into the touchy feely player meaning your finger can be buzzed every time you do anything.
More interestingly (for me, anyhow) is the new ‘EmoTure’ (insert juvenile jokes here) UI which allows for a customisable home screen, drag and drop icons and seemed nice and responsive in use – if not you-know-what responsive. A ‘Music Hot Touch’ key also enables users to access their music features and selections instantly from any screen.
Build quality has improved too with a die-cast metal casing feeling solid in the hand though simultaneously very light (weight not given) and thin (9.9mm to be exact). Matte black and silver finishes will be available. Held over from previous editions is the 3in WQVGA 16:9 aspect ratio display which seemed brighter this time around, the FM tuner, voice recorder and Bluetooth connectivity.
A Q2 timeframe is on the cards for the P3 with 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB editions all available and while pricing wasn’t announced it’s a banker to know it will be cheaper than a particular fruit produced player at each capacity.
