Who knows something about DRM?
I’ve downloaded all this great music, legally, over the past year. I just put an excellent new mp3 capable cd player and four new speakers in my car. But the cd player won’t play my burned cds! Has that much changed with DRM that some hardware won’t play burned music? Only commercial cd’s and tracks ripped from same? These cds will play on our various boomboxes and our other car stereo. I use Windows Media Player to dl and burn. My licenses say that the tracks can be burned at least 10 times (haven’t hit that limit). Could I have a burn/hardware problem?
I’ve been able to get around the whole ipod/mp3 player thing pretty easily thus far. The car cd player will play mp3s from a portable player, connected with a cable, but that seems a bit elaborate.
Got any ideas? Things I should check; settings, etc? Should I just break down and buy the ipod?
