Is it possible to play a portable mp3 player through my amplifier in my car without a stereo deck?
I would need to turn the amplifier on and off with the car, as if with a car stereo deck. Any options would be greatly appreciated.
yeah you need a 2 channel or 4 channel amp first of all it cant be a mono amp cause that would just cause more issues… but a 2 channel hooked up regular (power, ground, n Amp turn on and RCAS!) ((you can have the rcas still hooked to the radio but will need to take them off when you hook up the mp3 player)) there is a special wire you need its a red and white male connector Rca on 1 end of the wire and the other end has a headphone jack (auxillary jack, which will plug into the headphone port of your mp3..)) plug this into the input spots on the amp and thats all!! you have signal sending from your mp3 to the amp and then to the speakers…!!! need any more help email me at Infamous713@ymail.com
Its the blue and white wire behind the stereo deck if its an aftermarket radio tho…. but if you just need to turn the amp on all you have to do is just run that wire to a fuse inside the pannel in the car just find the fuse that says either aux, rdo, or cig. and that will turn on the amp when the key is in the on position anything else just ask
