My car stereo will not allow me to program radio stations permenantly- once I turn the car off, they unprogram
its a panasonic, mp3 stereo. but Im assuming its not the stereo itself but rather the way its connected, cos my previous stereo had the same problem (but I just thought it was cos it was crappy). When we installed the new stereo, but just matched the wires colours. Everything else works fine. What do I do differently? Is it a problem with the connection to the batt>?
Sounds like one of your wires is crossed…had the same problem with a new Pioneer I had installed professionally. Took it back to the installer and they pulled the unit out and switched two of the wires around and then it worked fine. Don’t know what wires they switched though but you may be able to figure it out with your wiring diagram that came with your new unit. Sorry I couldn’t help you more but it’s probably an easy fix.
