Is there any CMS out there specifically created (or customizable) to organize music files?
I have vast amounts of storage space available with my webserver, and I’ve been using Menalto’s Gallery ( http://gallery.menalto.com ) as a standalone application to organize all of my photos on their own subdomain. There is an MP3 plugin available for the latest version of Gallery (2.2.2), which got me to thinking that I could free up a lot of space on my PC if I put all of my music online, too. Is there any CMS that could be used to store and organize music files? The way that Gallery treats them is only one step above storing them as data files … no way to easily catalog or sort them (treats them the same as an image file). It would be cool if a program took the id3 info off of a music file, and allowed searching and cataloging capabilities from that info.
