Nokia 6300, assigning custom ring tones to people in the address book.?
It’s a new phone and I’ve never had a Nokia before. I’ve dropped some MP3 files onto the phone and changed the ‘general’ profile to use one of these MP3′s as a ring tone – but when I go into the address book and assign a ringtone (MP3 file) to a number, when that number calls it rings the ‘general’ profile tone. What am I doing wrong? The manual doesn’t really cover this in depth and from the menu’s and the phone setup – it looks as if what I have done should work…
All your contacts ringing tones are actually set to default tone which is the one preset in your profiles. Try to re assign each contact but I’m not sure if the mp3 works, but it usuallly works with the pre installed *.aac files.
