I can’t find the IC MAX756 for my portable usb charger. Is there another chip that I could replace it with?
I’ve visited almost all the electronics shops in the city and they don’t have that kind of IC. Can anyone suggest me with another one which is close to that IC? I’m really desperate coz I don’t have a charger for my mp3 player.
Many of the newer Maxim voltage converters are not second sourced so probably not. Farnell have it is stock in both DIP and surface mount packages though. Go to http://www.farnell.com and select the country where you live before simply searching for MAX756.
