Copyright and other trouble with Sony MP3?
When uploading songs to my Sony MP3 Player, “Transfer not allowed.” warning comes up. And when I try to convert formats, it says “…This software needs to be updated. Please check the Open MG website.” But the website they’re addressing can not be found.
Can I download a software to do the troubleshooting? Do not advice me to download other licensed songs, because there are 105 of them.
What format songs are you trying to convert? If you have protected files, most programs cannot convert them because it strips the DRM protection off of the files. Files purchased from iTunes in particular have this problem. Have you tried burning the files to an audio CD and them re-ripping them to your computer in whatever format you need? That may help.
