Can you recommend software to rip an entire CD album into one .mp3 file (no gaps between songs)?
The issue is for live albums or some well-produced studio albums, one song merges into another, but I don’t want the artificial gap between songs that RealPlayer or MS Media Player introduce by chopping the album up into separate song files.
Yes, you can use Audiograbber (freeware beta version), http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/download.html and once you have that do this to rip the CD as one whole MP3, from the Audiograbber Forums:
1) Insert the CD and once displayed right click the last track and select track properties
2) Towards the bottom of the track properties dialog box there is a section called sectors. Copy the number shown in Last and press OK.
3) Right click the first track and select track properties.
4) In Sectors paste the number copied previously in Last. Press OK.
5) De-select all tracks with the exception of track one and rip as normal.
6) You now have one mp3 of the album.
I have not tried this so I cannot gaurantee if this will work but the people at Audiograbber seem to think it will.
