how do i copy the video footage off my camcorder to a dvd?
i have a sony camcorder (digital) it records onto a mini dv cassette. i have a pc with a dvd rewriter drive and a cable to link the two. i have also installed the driver for the camcorder and some of the software , but it only seems to record in mp3 format to my pc and not direct to a dvd. this uses up so much space and still no copy on dvd! whatcan i do?
i copy from a Sony Mini-DV camcorder direct to a Sony DVD recorder through Firewire (ilink) and avoid the PC altogether..You can copy on the fly. You control the camera via the dvd recorder. very easy
