Need help with FLAC audio?
I have these albums, and it’s really important the subtle tones and frequencies stay intact because they are meant for meditation. I downloaded FLAC Frontend and decoded them, but they are in wav format. I need them to be mp3 so I can lay them on my zune as it would be too much hassle to burn each individual cd (there are over 30) when the total size of all the albums is just over 5GB and will easily fit on my zune. I could easily convert those wav files to mp3 with my audio converter, but I’m pretty sure I would lose some of the audio if I did. What do I need to do to make my FLAC files mp3s while maintaining the exact audio contained in the original files. I’m new to FLAC and I am in way over my head here. Thanks for the help.
FLAC, as a file format for lossless audio data compression, is more and more popular in nowadays, for it can provide better sound quality than lossy compression formats like MP3, AAC etc. But most portable media players don’t support the playback of FLAC files.
