Can I use a SD card instead a MMC?
I have this vintage Grundig mp3 player that has a slot for a 32MB MMC card (SD cards weren’t invented back then). If I insert a SD/SDHC card, will it work with it?
Cards 2GB and under : Quite unlikely since at the time of SD’s creation most devices had to have their firmware or hardware updated in order to understand that extra pin the SD cards had (and at the time had to pay the royalty to be able to utilize SecureDigital). Multimedia cards were quite simple had had one less pin as such almost any device understood them.
Cards 4GB and over (SDHC) : Definitely not.
In short 99.99% it will not work.
