Can anyone help me with deleting music off my 2gb Sansa mp3 player?
I read someone else’s question and there were great answers, but when I open the files on my computer, once my mp3 player is plugged in, it shows that there are no files! My music doesn’t show up on the computer. So I can’t delete any songs. Is it just reading it wrong?
If the Sansa product is plugged into your USB 2.0 port on your computer, and it’s not showing up in “My Computer”, then most likely your Sansa is in MTP mode. Which means that it will only show up in programs like Windows Media Player 11, MediaMonkey, WinAMP, etc.
Go to the site for Sansa, http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/, click on what product you have, and make sure you have the latest firmware. After that is done, go into Settings – USB mode – change it from Automatic (it’s the default), to MSC mode. Your Sansa should then show up in My Computer.
I had the same problem with my Sansa Clip at first, but once I got that fixed, I’ve loved my Clip ever since =].
