What is all needed to get an AUX port in my car?
I want an aux jack for when my friends have their mp3s so they can use it in my car too. i have the ipod but the aux seems more usefull than just gettin an ipod one. It is a pioneer. Do i need the pioneer little box thing. or will this work fine. what other cable do i need because it has a white and red

Depending on what Pioneer stereo you have, you may just need the RCA to 3.5 mm adaptor that the guy before me was talking about. The RCA jacks will plug directly into the back of the stereo (in the AUX ports) and you’ll probably have to get creative in order to run the 3.5 mm end out of your dash. The 3.5 mm end plugs into your MP3 player’s head phone jack.
Either look up your receiver on crutchfield.com (or someplace else (like the box that it came in if you still have it) to see if you have a rear AUX Input, or remove the receiver and check to see if it has RCA ports on the back (same as what you plug the red and white audio wires into on some televisions).

If you scroll down to Expandability, you can use the RCA to 3.5 mm adapter if the receiver has an rear AUX Input.
