Creative Zen Vision:M detection problem?
i bought my creative zen vision:m (30gb) a few months back. it was
working great with windows xp sp2 and i listened to it regularly. just a
few days back i connected my mp3 player as usual only to find out that
it did not get detected by windows xp sp2. the player turned on as soon
as i plugged it in but i got a warning message from windows xp saying
that the device that i just connected has malfunctioned. the player’s
battery sign wasnt flashing either,that is, it wasnt charging. i went to
the “Device Manager” of xp and found an “Unknown Device” next to the
“Universal Serial Bus Controllers” . i tried uninstalling it and then
reinstalling it but it did not help.i used the options of “Clean
Up”, “Format”, and “Reboot” in the recovery mode of my player but it did
not work.i also tried to use the
“Removable Disk” option of my player and connected it to another
computer but it too said that the device is not recognized.
any suggestions?
First reset it – put a pen head in the little hole under the power button.
If you formatted it you erased everything off of it now you need to reinstall software.
Then let it charge for 4 to 6 hours.
