In UBUNTU how do I safely disconnect my MP3 player ? Or Play files from it ?
I want to play files off my Mp3 player. First I went into the disc and right click copied a few songs I wanted to keep in my computer. I don’t know if it really copied them anywhere though. Something tells me a import file/folder should have preceeded my quick to copy approach. I just installed this OS yesterday, so everything is a new journey.So far so good. I can appreciate the UBUNTU experience as more of a “thinking” man’s software.And I am just getting into python etc It was love at first sight. But I didn’t like the fact I couldn’t just dbl clk a song and the system can’t figure out itself how to play an mp3 file.”Out of the box” is fine but it has to do the simple stuff first.Okay so this thing can master the internet but it cant play a stupid song ? It took me to a movie player, it should have taken me straight to the foul rythmbox Can’t even play an mp3 telling me I need codecs or something.Can someone tell me how this thing play a mp3 and how to safely disconnect my player ?
Open up the add/remove programs application. add xine (or is it gxine) anyways it is a little strange to use at first but you get used to it…it plays hundreds of video and audio types. i just checked and it plays mp3 format.
