What’s a good replacement for the iriver H340 mp3 player?
Hello,
My sister wants to replace her iriver H340 which was a 40GB HDD mp3 which cast aside cutesy design and slim trendy looks in favor of big storage and containing every feature imaginable (for when it was being made a few years ago).
I want to help her find a new mp3 because I want her H340 because it rules and they don’t make them anymore. The features that she needs are:
1. line-in recording of high quality (this is very important as she writes for magazines and uses her mp3 to record phone interviews.)
2. Good quality in-built mic
3. Mass storage (The 40GB she had was practically full, but something with at least 30 gig I think would suffice)
4. Good battery life (the H340 had something like 16 hours per recharge)
5. Preferably plug ‘n’ play, without a need for additional software.
It seems now iriver only makes flash based devices (with little storage) with no line-in.
By the way she hates iPods due to the scroll wheel so don’t recommend one.
