I’m in desperate need for a decent media player application.?
I need a media player that uses less than 350mb of ram. Im currently using iTunes, but with my library it is excessively slow at loading and closing. But i love it’s functionality. It sorts my library (that actualy files), it has full ID3 tag support. Burns MP3 CD’s, CDA (Incl. CD Text), has an inbuilt sound enhancer, and rips in any format…and best of all is FREE! This might sound like a big call, but is there a media player out there that does all of the above but is not as bloated. I don’t need the store, don’t need the visualisations, and dont need video support. Foobar is a no-go, songbird is a no-go, winamp pro costs money (and is owned by AOL…wtf?)
My PC is decent (4gb RAM, 3.4GHz P4, 890GB of disk space spread over 3 drives.), so it’s not that…
The main requirement of the player needs to be that it “keeps my music library (folder) organised”.
p.s. My music library consists of just under 50,000 songs.
Winamp is one of the best Media player I ever use, plus it has free Internet TV, and Internet Radio, and it can help organize all the music you had for you.
