How much quality will i lose encoding a FLAC file to MP3 @320k?
I have a very large CD collection and I’m Recording them Twice.
Once to FLAC and once to MP3 @320k. I will then sell the CD.
I want to know if instead of recording to MP3 I can just record to
FLAC and at a latter date I can record the MP3 from the FLAC files? ?What is the difference between a MP3 recorded directly
from a CD @320k and an MP3 recorded from a FLAC file also
at 320K? – Thanks
There is no difference. Either recording directly from a CD to MP3, or recording to FLAC and then converting from FLAC to MP3, it’s the same, because FLAC is a lossless codec, meaning no information is lost when ripping to FLAC or compressing with FLAC.
