What is this file? Possible Malware file in the LAME MP3 Encoder for Audacity!?
In the LAME MP3 version 3.97.TAR for Audacity there’s a file in the Main Folder that i believe is a Malicious File! The file is called “Hacking.exe”! Doesn’t that sound like a threat to you? If you know what this file is or have any ideas for what it might be then please answer! Need help with it!
I have Audacity and it does not have this file. It could be that some one that went on your computer put it there, or the source you downloaded it from was unreliable and could have added spyware or a virus in with the actual program. Install and run Avast antivirus or spybot S&D. Either of these will detect a virus, but avast you can select the folder to look in. Both of these are free.
