Deleted File Recovery?
I’ve recently had some issues installing MAC OS X on a hard drive that I had my windows 7 on also. I have three partitions. When messing with MAC something happened to my MBR so I started messing around with some tools to repair it and killed all my partitions on my drive. I had to do an erase and then recreate partitions again so I lost all my data. My question is has anyone successfully recovered mp3′s or pictures or anything of that sort off of deleted partitions before? If so what software did you use?
Tech don’t be retarded you can have as many Operating systems on your computer as you wish. Having two operating systems is called Dual Booting. Do some research before you pretend to be smart. I’ve had four operating systems on my computer at one time. This is the first time anything like this has happened. The only reason it did happen is because I was messing around with Master Boot Record tools and didn’t know what I was doing.
You can often successfully recover deleted files from a PC, it all depends on what has happened since the files were deleted.
When you delete files the data itself isn’t deleted, just the index entry that tells the system where the data for those files is located. The area containing the deleted data is also now marked as free space so it is available for any new files to be written there instead.
If and when that happens, then it is too late to recover your deleted files so it is very, very important to not save any new files or data to the device concerned.
One of the easiest ways to see if you can recover deleted files is to try some good file recovery software.
A good tip is to try the free demo version of a commercial product that will scan the device for deleted files and show you exactly what files can be recovered.
