Looking for a Car Stereo with front aux jack – simple looking, under $100 – any ideas?
So I am wanting to put an ipod/mp3 adapter into my Ford Escort. the factory radio isn’t capable of doing this so I am looking at car stereos. (I don’t want to use an FM transmitter, quality is poor)
I’m looking for something that is:
- under $150 and preferably under $100
- has a front aux jack on it
- has enough power for decent (not great) speakers and bass/treble/volume controls
- doesn’t have to have pre-tune for car radio
- doesn’t even have to have a cd player since I play all my muzak out of MP3 players

the audio output power of this one is a little low and it doesn’t have bass or treble control. I like the retro look since I am looking for something that doesn’t say “steal me”.
Any of you car audio experts out there have an idea of something that would fit these requirements? Thanks in advance! 
Something I came across … Pioneer DEH-3000IB.
Better quality head unit brand, clean look that is so basic, it definitely says, “not worth stealing”. CEA-2006 compliant power rating. (Kind of nice to know the power is what it says it is.) Found it on Sonic Electronix for $90 (expect about $15 additional shipping though.)
