The Motorola Hint puts the most frequently used features at user’s fingertips and promises to help keep in touch with your wide social circle in many ways. With a full QWERTY keyboard and an innnovative slider design, this is one executive phone not to be missed.
On first impression, users may feel that the phone may seem slightly thicker in form. With its lightweight and compact design, this phone slips easily in the pocket.
When the slider is closed the phone’s integrated mp3 player features one-touch music keys that provide playback functions. The player supports a number of audio and video formats some of them are, MIDI, MP3, AAC, AAC+, AAC+ Enhanced, WMA v9 for audio and H.263, MPEG4, WMV v9 for video. It also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Motorola Hint comes equipped with a 2 megapixel camera which has video recording capability. Recording capacity is limited by the available memory space. The phone has a 128 MB RAM and a 256 MB built in memory; this allows a great amount of storage flexibility. What’s even better is that the memory can be extended to a whopping 8 GB by using the removable memory slot.
The phone has a number of internet-friendly functions such as full feature HTML browser, E-mail and instant messaging functions. Connectivity wise, it comes with high speed USB connectivity and bluetooth, allowing you to transfer data between the phone and your PC seamlessly. The high-speed USB 2.0 connectivity can be used to transfer music from a PC to the phone. The Motorola Hint is GPS enabled, allowing you to position your location whenever you need. Other features on the phone include a personal organizer, a speakerphone and stereo Bluetooth. To replicate similar web surfing experience on a PC, it allows you to scroll, zoom and bookmark webpages as you would do so on a PC.
Apart from these the Hint has a threaded text messaging and instant messaging feature that makes SMS look like an ancient thing. This allows the user to have a more conversation-like experience. The advanced message manager uses an intuitive dashboard interface to keep track of all the conversations.
Battery stamina for this phone is relatively impressive. It has a 940 mAH battery that stays up for 15 days in standby mode and 4.5 hours in talk time mode.
