How do i reduce the bit-rate of an mp3 without using itunes or downloading anything?
Like an online bitrate reducer.
There are some free media conversion sites that will allow you to change the bitrate of an MP3 file. Here’s one I’ve sucessfully used for that purpose: http://www.mediaconverter.org/
Make sure to check the advanced options box so that you can choose a new bitrate.
Note that all online media converters I’ve tried have some limitations, such as only being able to convert 5 files per day. You have to pay to remove these limitations.
It’s MUCH faster and easier to convert MP3 files with a free program such as iTunes. Yes, you have to download it. But with an online media converter, you not only have to upload EVERY file you want to convert, but you also have to download each converted file – and this takes awhile.
