I need to know some stuff about air plane rides going to different countries?
So i’m going to Germany, Paris, and London in five days. I need to know what you can put in your Carrier that you bring on the plane with you (Like the one bag you can bring to your seat) Well i need to know what not to put in there (i dont want the airport to take any of my stuff) Can i bring candy? My cell phone? A book? My MP3?
Here are some other questions. Can i wear metal necklaces, earrings, rings, a studded belt and not have the metal detector go off? I’m getting really nervous it would be great if someone he has gone to different countries for a long time to answer these or knows what not to put in the carrier and what to wear.

candy: only if it’s bought in the airport after you’ve been through security. airports have many little shops that sell candy, and magazines and stuff.
cell phone: you can bring it, but it MUST be turned off. the signals from the cell phone can interfere with signals from the airplane, and if you don’t turn it off, a attendant will come by and tell you to do so. they are very strict on it…but as long as its off, you can have it with you.
book and mp3: yes, but you can’t use your mp3 until the attendants say otherwise (you can’t use them during take off and landing) i really don’t know why, but those are the rules.
other things you could bring are: your camera (disposable cameras get ruined in your checked luggage when they put them through x-ray, btw, so if you’re taking one, put it in your carry on), magazines, and anything else that will keep you busy.
I would definatly NOT wear any metal through security. first of all, there are bins that you have to place all of your belongings in to go through security (even your shoes). if you wear all that jewelry and the belt, you’ll have to take it all off, and then put it all back on. some underwire bras even trip the detectors sometimes. i would wear really comfortable sweats, or just jeans and a t-shirt because it’s going to be a very long plane ride, and you’ll want to be as comfortable as possible. also, wear slip on shoes because it’ll be easier to slip on and off through security.
