Can i stop users downloading mp3′s from my site?
Hi guys & gals!
I am thinking of building a music site to allow visitors to hear all my favorite tracks from unsigned bands, and then have the option to purchase them if they want. I have all the clearance to do this from the authors, but obviously i can’t have people just ‘right clicking’ and ‘Save Target As’. Is there a way to keep the file on the sever and only stream the audio, so a temp file isn’t created on the clients machine?

Not very helpful guys. I’ll take your answers as a ‘No, sorry that can’t be done’.
The only way to keep your original safe is to put a crippled version of the track on the web rather than the full version. For example, a version that’s only 30 seconds long.
