Can somebody please translate it for me into simple English?
Do those features mean that I will be able to set alarm on this centre and wake up to music? Do they also mean that I can programme CDs and not bother with pressing “Play” button for some time?

It seems to me somehow that “Sleep timer” might as well mean the alarm… don’t know why. Well, THANK YOU for the answers, I’ll ask the shop assistant when I ‘ll go to buy it.

This is the only bit you are interested in...
Actually it doesn't give you any information. It has a clock and a Sleep timer. A sleep timer is usually a countdown timer that you set when you go to bed so that the unit turns off after a set time, 15mins, 30mins, 45mins 60mins, etc... in case you fall asleep and forget to do it...
As for what you are after, any clock radio from Tesco (~£10) will do the job...
