Motorola Rokr E1: Music in Its Genes
Being a joint development by Motorola and Apple, the Motorola ROKR E1 represents the combined expertise of the two giants. The handset includes all advanced features we desire together with support for Apple’s iTunes system. The handset looks fabulous in its simple candy-bar form in a royal silver casing. The five way navigation joystick, large keypad and an advanced 262K TFT screen makes up the stylishly simple front.The integrated Apple iTunes player is the main highlight of the Motorola ROKR E1. The interface is remarkably similar to an iPod. You can download all your favourite tunes to the 512 Mb TransFlash memory card, though the cap of maximum 100 tracks is a bit unfortunate. The sound quality is really good and live up to its name. You can enjoy your music on your Bluetooth stereo headphones or in 3D surround sound from twin speakers. You ca organize your music according to playlist, artists, name and album.
Motorola ROKR E1 is very convenient for easy transfer between music and phone functions as well as Airplane Mode – where you can listen to music with your ‘phone’ turned off. Other than the iTunes player, another Motorola-designed media player that supports MP3, MIDI, WAV, AAC, and DRM AAC files is also included. Surprisingly, the Motorola ROKR E1 have only a VGA resolution camera (0.3 megapixel). The camera is equipped with video capabilities as well as digital zoom and flash. The handset supports tri-band GSM mobile networks so that you don’t have to change your globe trotting ways. The ROKR E1 is quite at home with Internet. Powered with Class 10 GPRS and WAP, the handset gives you a pretty decent browsing experience. The email client supports POP3 and IMAP protocol, so staying in touch is easier. Connect and synchronize information with any compatible external device with Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
