Why is my removable drive asking me to format my miniSD???
I have a telus LG8100. Just bought a 2GB miniSD card, drive and USB cord to go with it. Every time I format the mini in my phone I can copy items to the card. Once I put it in the drive it always asks to format disk. I have said yes format and the only option after that is quick erase or full. It won’t let me quick erase. It must be full. I do it and then it says run Scandisk option Thorough to check for bad areas. I try to run it. It gives error message: Disk is not formatted, locked by disk utility or insert valid disk. Once I put my “drive” formatted disk in my phone the card reads 0KBs out of 2GBs is available. I need major help. Has anyone encountered this problem before? What am I doing wrong? I saw Disk Utility for macs that allows you to “repair permissions” to drives(in regards to the locking). Is there something for pcs?

Sounds like you yanked the card out while your phone or PC was saving something in it. It has been corrupted, and all your data has been lost. Undelete tools won’t work, sorry about your problem.
