Microsoft Zune – UK?
Supposing I bought a Zune through Amazon.com.. would I have any trouble using it on my computer here in the UK? Plus, does the player charge up through a wall socket or through the USB cable?

It charges through USB (or optional AC adapter), so you would be able to charge it from your computer.
It is unlikely you would be able to purchase from the Zune Marketplace with a UK address/credit card. However if you’re using your own non-DRM MP3s you should be fine.
You need to be careful of warranty coverage as it’s only available in the USA, so it won’t have a worldwide warranty – you would probably need to return it to a US address for repair.
As there is going to be at least a 12 month delay before Zune reaches Europe (and personally I doubt the current incarnation ever will – if we see a Zune it will be at least a 2nd Gen one), I’d advise you not to import one at the moment.
Remember that you will probably have to pay Customs Duty and VAT on your Zune when it arrives in the UK – that will add about 20% onto the price.
