I am looking to buy a new computer(monitor, keyboard and tower only)?
it must be a Dell and compatible with these other peripherals: HP 882 printer, 3 Altec speakers(optional since I am also looking for a flatscreen with speakers built in), microtek scanner, USB hub, Memorex CD external burner/drive, RCA lyra mp3 player, cable modem, and Chameleon camera. My new Tower must be able to operate CDS, disks, and zips. I want to play music, write documents, edit pictures, play games, have a print shop program. and store all files.
The red color on this monitor is lost and my CD drive is broke on this old Dell Dimension desktop computer. Can you suggest a model that also includes installation, service and repair, but no warranty policy!
You should be able to use all those peripherals on any computer with XP do some research for each component to see if there are Vista drivers available. And why would you not want a warranty? It doesn’t cost anymore unless its extended. As far as service and repair most problems can be done yourself or by a more techy Friend or family member. It would be rare for a problem you were having not to be had by anyone else a web-search usually will come up with a solution. Installation is available at most stores for a fee of course, doing it yourself could not be easier, Monitor,keyboard,mouse,sound + power most of the time color coded or just obvious. If you live in an area that has a http://www.Microcenter.com they have some excellent pc clones at decent prices, you can always order online also.
