Is it illegal if I download mp3′s and previously bought the cd’s but have worn them out?
Over the years I have bought hundreds of cd’s, yet many have become unplayable due to overplaying and scratches (etc), can I download songs and make the cds that way?
no, i don’t think it’s bad, but you won’t have the same sound quality that you will with a CD, since mp3s are compressed. try ripping/importing the CD as WAV files instead of mp3s with error correction on (in iTunes), and then burn those WAV files to a new CD, and it should sound better.
