Is morpheus legal and free to download off of and to burn cds to put on my mp3 player?
i have downloaded some songs (15 to be exact) off of morpheus and they are now stored in my computer and saved to my musicmatch playlist. i was just wonderin if it was free and legal to do that. i am also wonderin if my mp3 player only accepts wma music type and i download mp3 type but burn it on a cd will my mp3 take it. thats how u get music onto ur mp3s anyway, from cds that you have. the songs that i am burnin are songs that i like but dont have the cds w/ the songs on them, so i plan on burning cds off of morpheus creatin my own playlists w/ songs that i like. i havent burned any yet because i dont know how but i am learning. if you can answer i have about the wma and me burning mp3 type music i would gladly appreciate it.
i also use morpheus and i think they claim to be “legal” but they don’t want anyone talking about it. you know what i mean…..
if you find the file in which your music files are stored–”start”, “my music” or “start”, “my computer”, “morpheus shared”, “morpheus downloads” –then you you highlight your songs then move or copy them to your disk. once you select to do this a wizard may open asking you to name your disk, etc. name your disk , click next, then select the option that says something like “will play on computers and some cd players.” this will make your songs remain mp3s or wmas. if you select the other option, your media player will open and have your songs in a burn list and they will burn like a regular CD but you’ll only be able to get about an hour and fifteen minutes of music on your disk, but it’ll play on any cd players. MP3s and WMAs will not play on just any cd player.
