lame mp3 goldwave

How can I use the LAME mp3 encoder (or any other encoder) with GoldWave?

SO I downloaded GoldWave and made a karaoke. I wanted to save but it said that the mp3 encoder could not be found, so I clicked on get online help and they showed me LAME. I downloaded and installed LAME but it still says that it needs an mp3 encoder. What can I do to be able to save my songs?
If it matters its GoldWave v5.20

The latest stable version of LAME is 3.97 (meaning it’s no longer in Beta or test status.) If you downloaded any version of 3.98 it’s possible your download was damaged or corrupt because all versions of 3.98 are still being tested. According to LAME it should be downloaded from sourceforge.net because they are the official download site:

http://lame.sourceforge.net/download.php >LAME info

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=290&package_id=309 >download site

Even though LAME originally stood for “Lame Aint an MP3 Encoder”, it became a fully functional MP3 encoder in May 2000 so it should work well with GoldWave. I’d try uninstlaling then reinstalling from sourceforge, making sure to download 3.97. If you want another free encoder you could take a look at this:
