I downloaded Audacity but I can’t export mp3s?
When I try to export the mp3 it says I need to download separately “lame mp3 encoder”..
I have downloaded it to a different computer before and a window popped up saying to download the lame mp3 encoder separately so I did and it worked perfectly. But when I try to download the other file on my laptop a window pops up saying it could not open the mp3 encoder…
so i’m not sure what to do.

Download lame 3.98.2 from the site below. Copy it into any directory you want. I put it into my Audacity directory.
When you first try to export the mp3 file, Audacity will ask you where you put it. You can search and tell Audacity where it is.
