Why can’t my gf’s computer can’t get volume while on youtube or any other flash video viewing site like that?
We updated Internet Explorer to the recent one so that is’nt the problem…we tried adjusting the volume settings so thats not it and we can play cds and listen to mp3′s normally…we went to “iternet options” “advanced” and checked “play sound on web pages” in the “multimedia” section,that did’nt work and we also downloaded macromedia flash and adobe shockwave player and updated java many times but still nothing…it’s starting to annoy me…please someone who knows what to do enlighten me.(please don’t send me to a site that will screw over her system).Thanks in advance.
So, are you saying it just won’t play “streaming audio”? As opposed to audio generated within your machine? If that’s the case it might be due to the “wave” volume being muted. Start > Control Panels > Sound > Audio > Advanced > Wave Volume.
