Flash and HTML transfers?
I have an mp3 player that loads the url from a xml file. The xml file is set to a javascript load_file function. I want the javascript to return the mp3 file to the flash player AND change the content visible on the rest of the page. I know that I could have just made the url in the xml file to “file_name.cfm?id=xxxxx” but that would redirect and require a page refresh. I want the page to, when the user selects a new audio file fromo the list, to change the file that is playing by calling the file_name.cfm page and call another javascript function that uses AJAX to change the rest of the page’s content. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your answers!

One word of caution, however, Internet Explorer does strange things when both HTTP connections are occupied in the flash, such as reading an MP3 file, and doing flash remoting, and you try to make an XmlHttpRequest call. I would set the flash remoting channel to null before making the XHR request.
