what’s the green bar mean when you record with windows sound recorder?
i make videos and stuff and i cant find out how to make my itunes music a mp3 file so i can find them on my camtasia/windows movie maker to edit with so i use a sound recorder to record my music of itunes and make them into a file, but lately its been making static noises and not working
i wonder if the green bar has something to do with it because usualy it does nothign much but now its been going up and down constintly

The green bar visually represents sound. Windows sound recorder is very basic – I recommend Audacity.
Audacity is free, open source software for recording and editing sounds. It is available for Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, GNU/Linux, and other operating systems.
