I have a Zen Sleek Photo MP3 Player 20Gb I am unable to transfer large protected audiobooks 300+MB wma files
I have tried using Windows media player 10 and 11 Beta as well as Creatives software. The windows error code is 8004A803 I have found others with the same problem but no answers. The help from India that creative offers is useless and their phone support is 8AM to 5PM in my time zone!
The files are protected WMA files and files smaller than 200 MB work fine.
What is the source of the audio books?
I’ve recently discovered that the “Photo” versions of the Zen Sleek Photo, the Zen Micro Photo, and the Zen Vision M do not support audio books from Audible.com. However, the non-photo versions of the Zen Sleek and the Zen Micro do support books from Audible.com.
This has been discussed in many of the Creative Forums and there is even a petition going around.
If the source for the protected audio books is not Audible.com, then try contacting the audio books company and see if they have any information on DRM requirements, compatible players, or if they offer the book in chunks that are smaller than one single 300+MB WMA file, incase it is just simply the size of the file that is causing the problems.
