Does anyone else have severe problems with creative zen micro?
heres the story. last christmas i got a creative zen micro. i got this one becuase every one had good reviews, and it had a better featureset than the ipod for roughly the same price. About june ’05, the 3.5mm headphone jack/port was not functioning and i sent this in to be repaired. the rma went thru, and i had no out of pocket cost, besides shipping. they sent a new unit, and on the packaging it said it was refurb.
Just a few weeks ago, the mp3 player ceased to function whatsoever. you would turn it on, and it would stay on creative forever, until the battery ran dead. I couldnt not detect any hard drive action at all. tried all recover modes, besides firmware rollback or w/e. Creative nabbed me with $24.95 just to send it in, and i might have to pay warranty costs. rma just got there today and they’re checking it out. has anyone else had these problems? i thought i was getting a good mp3 player, but so far i’m wrong. any help guys? btw creative was no help on the phone thx a lot
My Zen Micro has been bulletproof. I also have a Zen Noman Xtra, which did die (because I dropped it – totally my fault), and I got replaced by my replacement plan, and have had no problems since.
